Warehouse Operations Manager

This position is responsible for directing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of warehouse operations in order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Team Members, maximize efficiencies and control cost, and ensure the highest levels of customer service.

This position will lead warehouse operations to create a work environment which reflects a commitment to Team Member safety, product quality, food safety, cost, customer service, and positive employee relations using Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques through company values and behaviors in action. Collaborating with site wide Management and Team Members to ensure these principles are executed will be the primary responsibility of this role. This role will be responsible to ensure compliance with all quality and food safety requirements to protect customers, consumers, and Tyson Foods - including all state and federal regulations. The Operations Manager must also ensure Food Defense Training is completed annually for themselves, their team, and their shifts (through annual compliance training provided by the company). This position is the back up for the primary Recall Team (Inventory Manager) on their respective shift coverage (days/nights). In the event that the day or night shift Operations Manager is absent, their counterpart Operations Manager on days/nights will be responsible for overall coverage.

Other responsibilities include; This position is also responsible for developing and training Team Members, executing World Class Safety standards and utilizing both problem solving as well as creative skills to ensure operational cost and service metrics are reached. Additional duties include developing and meeting fiscal budgets for warehouse operations, developing and tracking KPI's to meet objectives, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises. The position will also fill in as acting warehouse manager in the warehouse managers absence.

Shift A: This will be a Monday – Friday position. This position will be responsible for providing direction to our night shift operations. Working nights/evenings is a requirement based on need, with the expectation regularly being a split shift schedule (partial days/nights).

Education: Requires education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses.

Experience: 5 plus year of experience.

Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills required.

Special Skills: Strong Math skills required.

Travel: 4 plus trips per year.
