Technology Manager
The Manager serves as a technology leader with strategic responsibility for leading a team and managing a roadmap to ensure the organization meets its goals. The Manager helps ensure technology processes are consistent, enabled, measured, and improved to drive quality in Technology Services. The Manager is also responsible for hiring, training, and leading a mid-size team of employees and contractors, as needed, that understand and demonstrate the culture and values of Technology Service.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the process of designing, developing, deploying and maintaining tools and processes to support operations for Technology.
- Lead team to document and educate users about relevant processes.
- Ensure alignment between processes and toolsets, modifying systems where needed to deliver desired results.
- Measure and improve process and tool maturity and compliance.
- Oversee execution of operational activities and measure process quality and compliance (incident handling, process execution, etc.)
- Establish roadmap to maintain currency, incorporate new features, and delivery TS objectives through technology solutions.
- Partner with other teams to identify dependencies and align roadmaps.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
- Experience gained through college degree programs or certifications in Information Systems, Business, or Computer Science
- 10+ years of working in an IT environment
- 3-5 years of technology team management experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teaming skills.
- Ability to navigate technology environment and work effectively with multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to be trustworthy and dependable.
- Ability to learn quickly, be self motivated to improve knowledge and tackle new challenges.
- Ability to prioritize requests to deliver highest-impacting items first.
- Articulate business value of solutions within their scope.
