Assistant Home Service Technician
TruBlue of Frisco, Prosper, & Celina is hiring for a part-time Assistant Home Service Technician (Handyman/Handywoman/Contractor). We're looking for a reliable, hard-working Assistant Home Service Technician to join our team and help our customers live better at home. You'll work alongside other Lead Technicians performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and improvement projects—learning new skills along the way and pitching-in wherever needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with general repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks including: minor carpentry (doors, trim, framing), drywall repair and painting, basic plumbing (toilet installs, faucet replacement, leak fixes), basic electrical (switch/outlet replacement, light fixture installs), tile, flooring, and other general repairs
- Arrive on time, in uniform, carry tools, materials and equipment to and from job sites
- Help prepare work areas and clean up after jobs are completed
- Follow instructions and work safely at all times
- Provide great customer service on-site, representing the company in a professional manner
- Support other Technicians as needed
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and time spent on jobs
Ideal candidates will have:
- Passion for delivering great customer experiences
- Some hands-on home repair experience with basic tools
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new techniques
- Punctual, dependable, and ready to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
