The Electrical Engineering Co-op in the Technology Department is a detail-oriented, technically minded individual who will be providing technical support to Engineers on projects and other supporting engineering efforts. The ideal candidate should be majoring in a Bachelor or Master of Science degree program for Electrical Engineering at an accredited university. Candidates in other University Level Technical Majors will be considered. The position will be working under the direction of the Engineering Manager or Engineer on all assignments. Among the responsibilities of the candidate are: Assisting in daily lab activities for the development of Lithium Battery assemblies; Performing testing and analysis of circuits for use in Lithium Battery assemblies; Assisting in troubleshooting and diagnosing operating electrical systems utilizing meters, oscilloscopes and other analyzers; Assist with prototyping and board bring up of prototypes, including debug testing, or qualification of designs; Develop an understanding of how to effectively work with engineering support personnel Check drawings, Bills of Materials, specifications, and orders for accuracy and resolve with reps and plant if needed; Work with other engineers for the preparation of high-quality deliverables during schematic design; Interact with C&D factory personnel and suppliers to communicate engineering changes and sustaining engineering of batteries, battery parts and accessories; Revise and develop EXCEL spreadsheets to be used for Engineering analysis and costing; Work effectively as a team member with electrical, mechanical, and software team members to support development activities; Customize computer system to work more efficiently; Provide technical support to others as directed; Report status on assignments.
