Are you patient, persuasive, and passionate about user experience? Excited about working with diverse stakeholders at trivago? Join us as a working student in User Support Operator at trivago! You'll get hands-on experience to be the user's advocate and build trust in the trivago brand. How you'll make an impact

  • Provide timely and accurate support to user inquiries via email using Zendesk, and translation tools
  • Answer user feedback on third-party review sites
  • Improve trivago's products by investigating, reporting to fix issues or bugs reported by users
  • Explore and understand issues faced by our users, finding solutions by collaborating with different stakeholders within and outside trivago
  • Gather, categorize, and channel user feedback to relevant teams
  • Collaborate on and support various initiatives to improve our operations and processes

What you'll need to thrive:

  • Excellent and fluent written and verbal communication in English (our company language)
  • Adaptable and proactive, able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Passion for travel and user experience, with the ability to empathize and put yourself in the user's shoes
  • Current enrollment at a university in Germany, living within a commutable distance to Düsseldorf
  • Availability to work 20 hours per week and ability to commute to campus twice a week

What you'll learn:

  • Problem-solving: Develop problem-solving skills by exploring user issues and collaborating to find solutions
  • Technical and industry knowledge: Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Cross-Cultural Competence: Enhance your ability to work with international users and understand different cultural contexts

Stand out with:

  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service, particularly in written communication
  • Previous experience responding to user reviews on third-party platforms
  • Proficiency in any additional written language used in trivago's key markets
