The Service Coordinator facilitates smooth operations of a patient service area by providing clerical support for healthcare team members, patients, and families on an inpatient unit. Facilitates communication with and between staff members, patients, and family members to ensure that information related to patient conditions and concerns is relayed in a timely manner. Access and operates paging system, phones, call lights, and internal Information Technology Help Desk. Communicate with staff and maintain smooth operation of unit.
Enters data into computer, prepares new patient charts for admissions, and ensures appropriate forms and paperwork are in order to maintain accurate medical records. Audits charts to identify missing or incomplete records. Processes and requisitions patient care service orders based on physician orders and instruction from professional staff. Processes completed records following patient discharge.

Schedule: Part-time, Rotating Day & Evening Shifts. 24 hour/week, variable shifts, 7am-3pm; 3pm-11pm, 7pm -11pm. Work every 3rd weekend 2x12's 7am-7:30pm. One summer holiday and one winter holiday required.

Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma
Actual compensation will fall within the range of 15.45 - 19.68 USD Hourly but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
