Position Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am- 5pm
Greets and assists all customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Receives requests and completes the necessary paperwork for equipment services from referral sources. Coordinates home equipment service request with delivery personnel for prompt delivery. Maintains current knowledge on Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer sources for equipment coverage. Verifies medical necessity, insurance coverage and physician orders for all insurance-assigned services. Maintains accurate records for CMN forms. Prepares paperwork as necessary before patient arrives to scheduled appointment or upon arrival if a walk-in customer. Completes designated daily and/or weekly reports as assigned. Assists customers with sales in the on-site home medical equipment store and over the phone. Work with HME Supervisor to ensure inventory is stocked and a reorder is necessary. Receive and mail products as necessary. The successful candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent telephone and customer service skills and must be able to function in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Must possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
