Strategic Marketing Manager

Trimble Advanced Positioning (TAP), a division of Trimble, is a leader in GNSS correction services for Automotive & IoT solutions. We are looking for a talented Strategic Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. Position Summary

As part of the TAP product marketing team, the Strategic Marketing Manager will be a key contributor to defining and leading strategic initiatives for our Automotive and IoT business. This role involves close collaboration with the Strategic Marketing Director, external partners, and various internal Trimble functions to develop and execute on high-impact initiatives such as:

  • Strategic Marketing & Planning: You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing comprehensive marketing strategies for Trimble's Automotive and IoT offerings. This includes aligning strategic plans with overarching business objectives and anticipating future market trends to drive sustainable growth.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: A core part of this role is to proactively research and analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and the competitive landscape. You will identify new opportunities and potential threats by staying on the forefront of technological advancements and competitor activities.
  • Auto & IoT Roadmap & Product Lifecycle: Collaborate closely with product development, sales, and other cross-functional teams to define the roadmap, prioritize features, and manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and eventual sunsetting.
  • Positioning & Messaging: You will be responsible for crafting compelling and differentiated positioning, messaging, and narratives that resonate with our target customers. Your work will directly support sales enablement efforts, ensuring that our solutions are effectively communicated and understood by both internal teams and the external market.

Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of B2B experience in developing and executing marketing strategies in a B2B environment, specifically for complex technology products and services.
  • Strong understanding of the Automotive and IoT industries, including market dynamics, key players (e.g., OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers), and emerging trends.
  • A solid knowledge of GNSS technology, including different correction services (e.g., RTK, PPP) and their applications in areas like autonomous vehicles, telecom or IoT.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct deep market research, identify customer needs and pain points, and translate those insights into a compelling product and marketing vision.
  • Experience in leading go-to-market strategies for new products and managing the marketing lifecycle of existing offerings to drive adoption and growth.
  • Comfortable working with and building strategies for recurring revenue, SaaS, and subscription-based business models, which are key to Trimble's services.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, sales, and business development to achieve shared goals.
  • International business experience and a global working perspective, with the ability to adapt marketing strategies for different regional markets.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
