Job Location: Dayton, OH-Onsite

Do you have what it takes to join Trimble's global networking team? Are you ready to help with the design, implementation, and operation of a company's worldwide communications, from local to wide area networks and voice systems?

What You Will Do

You'll be the expert responsible for the entire lifecycle of our networked systems; from planning and designing to implementing new solutions.

In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of network operations, troubleshooting and maintaining both our internal and vendor network connections. This includes configuring routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points, as well as coordinating with vendors to install essential circuits like DIA and MPLS. You'll also take on key responsibilities like project planning, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons.

  1. Operational support and incident resolution.
  2. Work with a team to design, implement and support Trimble's network infrastructure at its datacenters and global sites.
  3. Architect/design LAN/WAN solutions for a designated geographic region.
  4. Develop and maintain standard configurations, procedures and guidelines for installing and operating voice & data services.
  5. Participate in capacity planning and technology reviews with the Network Infrastructure team.
  6. Maintain the network infrastructure to high levels of availability with basic and expedited support to resolve networking related issues.
  7. Interface with ISP and carriers to install/commission/test new WAN/Internet circuits at remote sites, as well as interface with vendors to identify hardware & software requirements to meet business requirements.
  8. Design, manage and maintain wireless networks.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • BS or BA degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent education, training or work experience.
  • Proven competence in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex network systems with 5 to 7 years' experience in a networking enterprise environment.
  • Experience with global enterprise networks is preferred.
  • Cisco certifications-CCNP or CCIE. CCIE is preferred.
  • Network Expertise: You'll need hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions, including strong knowledge of protocols like BGP and OSPF.
  • Essential Skills: You should have proven experience with Cisco and Arista switches and routers, as well as wireless network administration. Expertise in network monitoring (e.g., SolarWinds) and troubleshooting with tools like Wireshark is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in Network automation using Python / Go Programming, Infrastructure as code, Ansible.
  • Implement and support cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure.
  • Occasional on-call duties.
  • Occasional travel.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.

Hiring Range $99,700.00–$134,600.00
