Triband Animation Role
Triband is the award-winning studio behind the WHAT THE? comedy game series, which is played by millions worldwide. From our home in central Copenhagen, more than 45 wonderful humans are united by a simple mission: to make everyone laugh.
Do you love bringing quirky ideas to life, like giving a toaster a personality — the kind that make people laugh, tilt their head, or go "wait, what?" Do you thrive when you're collaborating, bouncing around funny concepts, and helping a team tell visual stories that are dumb in the smartest way possible?
We're looking for someone who can help us craft funny, stylish, and creative animations for marketing materials like teasers, trailers, social videos, or store assets — and occasionally for the games themselves.
What You'll Do
You'll help create those delightful, weird, and slightly unhinged moments that introduce players to our worlds:
- Animating characters, props, cameras, and environments for trailers, teasers, and store assets
- Building fun, stylized sequences in Unity, using Timeline/Cinemachine
- Collaborating closely with our Creative Producer to deliver clear, funny, expressive moments
- Supporting our Marketing Artists by helping them animate scenes, UI, and event visuals
- Occasionally, animating short cutscenes or intros — or helping your marketing assets find their way into the game
- Help build character animation guidelines collaboratively with the marketing team and games team
Must-Haves
- Strong 3D animation skills with a reel that shows strong poses, understanding of timing and fun acting
- Experience creating marketing-style animation (for trailers, teasers, video ads, motion edits)
- Familiarity with Unity (Timeline, Cinemachine, or equivalent — or a fast learner)
- Able to work independently but thrive in collaborative, creative iteration
- A sense of humor and timing that matches our games' energy
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience with After Effects for compositing or motion overlays
- Understanding of shot composition and trailer pacing
- Light rigging or scene prep experience
- Sketching / Storyboarding skills
- Familiarity with performance marketing formats (9:16, looping clips, etc.)
- Interest in contributing to in-game animation (cutscenes, intros) when needed
Requirements for Any Job at Triband
- You thrive in taking ownership of your area: you spot problems, seek advice when needed, and implement creative solutions that push projects forward.
- You're motivated by collaboration, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and creativity, and you actively contribute to sustaining that culture.
- You value a positive work environment and contribute to making the studio a fun and supportive place.
Practicalities
- We work a 37-hour work week, with flexibility built in so you can balance work and life.
- We work on-site at our cozy office in central Copenhagen.
- No crunch. People over deadlines.
- Our working language is English.
What We Offer
- A strong focus on personal growth and professional skill development.
- The chance to work on and impact great games that reach millions of players.
- A playful and ambitious work environment where experimentation is encouraged.
- Friendly and kind colleagues who love making each other laugh as much as making games.
- Paid parental leave, pension plan, and health insurance (with family coverage available)
- Five weeks of vacation plus five extra days. Child's sick leave.
- Social activities such as hobby nights and Friday bars
- Daily lunch at a local restaurant with vegetarian/vegan options + soft ice on Thursdays
- And endless amounts of coffee.

We encourage applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences to apply. We believe diversity strengthens creativity and collaboration, and we strive to provide a safe and inclusive workplace.
We make people laugh! To do so, we focus on exploring comedy through gameplay. We like to break player expectations, use wonderful music, slick art, and create a quirky atmosphere. We experiment a lot, and it doesn't always work out, but we always learn something.
We are currently 45+ people of 12 different nationalities. We put people first and strive to create a safe and creative working environment. We believe that teams, not individuals, make games - and we believe diversity makes for better teams. For these reasons, we look for people who make the team better, bring new perspectives, and will challenge us and our way of doing things!
