Join Transmutex to pioneer FPGA-driven innovations for control systems for particle accelerator and fast neutron reactor—design system level specifications FPGA-based control systems for a particle accelerator, Define the V&V strategy, from unit tests to onsite commissioning, and shape the future of nuclear energy with cutting-edge fast and reliable control systems.
Transmutex is a Geneva-based start-up founded in 2019. We aim at reinventing nuclear energy by using an accelerator-driven system (ADS) to optimize the transmutation of long-lived nuclear waste. The innovative combination of particle accelerators and fuel, based on existing long-lived radioactive waste, will let us develop energy process that will be intrinsically safe, will reduce the stockpile of long-lived waste, is resistant to proliferation, and will be cost competitive.
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer with deep expertise in FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array)-based systems designed for harsh environments (e.g., radiation-heavy or high-EMI conditions). You will lead the development of control and protection electronics for large-scale scientific infrastructures such as particle accelerators, focusing on machine protection, interlock systems, and real-time control architectures.
This role involves working with control system suppliers, and strong interactions with the rest of the Design teams at Transmutex SA, as an Integrator.
