You will be responsible for the dimensional metrology area, responsible for performing complex measurement programs on coordinate machines and portable equipment such as arms and scanners. Collaborate actively with Advanced Manufacturing/Design/Quality/Processes teams both locally and internationally to develop optimal programming in component measurements. Provide training and mentoring to metrology technicians on measurement equipment programming.
What you will do:
Development of advanced measurement programs for new projects (precision machining, complex assemblies), based on drawings with geometric tolerances. Curves, surface profiles, selection of filters.
Generate solutions to problems related to the inspection of precision components in relation to the design attempt.
Responsibility for performing analysis of measurement systems (MSA) for the selection of measurement equipment and methods, considering technological advances.
Coordinate the metrology team on the installation and maintenance of measurement and statistics software.
Manage calibration program in accordance with manufacturer specifications, internal standards, and regulatory requirements.
What you will bring:
Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Around 7 years of experience in a similar position.
Ability to perform mathematical analysis, interest in developing technical skills, attention to detail.
Advanced programming with measurement software Calypso, UMESS, Polyworks, and Quindos.
Experience with PiWeb/WinSPC.
Use of measurement equipment CMM Zeiss, Faro Arm with Probe and LLP, Portable Scanning Equipment (Scantech and its interface).
Knowledge of SPC and MSA Green Belt/Black Belt desirable.
Advanced GD&T and reading of technical drawings.
Conversational English – Advanced.
Desired certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), Technologist Levels (ASME Y14.5-1994 or ASME Y14.5-2009), Senior Levels (ASME Y14.5-1994 or ASME Y14.5-2009).
