Role Overview
The successful candidate will become part of a core Operations function, within an expanding Manila office, providing both regional and global support for our varied businesses, through the delivery of assigned business usual (BAU) activities, project implementation and developing subject matter expertise (SME). Working closely with peers and management in delivering high quality output, working collaboratively across multiple teams and departments, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients. There will be an expectation that successful candidates will be able to work appropriate shift patterns to support the relevant region, or deliver time sensitive tasks, as necessary.
Role Responsibilities
Dependent upon the Operations Team in which you are working, your role may include, but not limited to:
- Maintaining high quality, clean data by adhering to a strict governance and controls framework
- Operating with, and ensuring more junior members of staff operate with a high level of skill and diligence, to complete tasks that may have regulatory, financial or reputational impact, such as client due diligence, accounts receivable, data analysis and management, reporting etc.
- Work closely with business and support function stakeholders on all matters related to assigned tasks to resolve queries and maintain effective and productive relationships
- Support management on project implementation through effective testing as and when required
- Support cross functional operations teams with regards to change implementations on process workflow efficiency and automation or strategic project initiatives
- Establish and maintain relationships with your peers both within Operations, but also other functions, not only in Manila, but globally
- Become a subject matter expert through learning the end-to-end process and system functionalities
- Supporting more junior members of staff to ensure that service level expectations are always met
- Analysing and interrogating data
- Assist with the design and implementing of processes to ensure tasks are documented and to mitigate risk exposure
- Assist with internal and external audit programs
- Assist with management information reporting and KPI tracking, including the successful delivery against relevant KPIs
- To fulfil any additional/ad-hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Experience / Competences
Essential

- Demonstrates the ability to work in complex data environments, with the ability to understand complex data sets, but also then input, reconcile, interrogate and report against that data.

- Highly effective written & oral communication skills; adapts communication style to suit audience
Desired
- Knowledge of or experience in working in the financial services sector
- Experience in core operations tasks such as, but not limited to client due diligence, KYC/AML, accounts receivable, data management, trade flow management etc
- Experience of using market standard applications, i.e. Power BI, Power Automate, DUCO, Alteryx, Qlik, ORACLE and Mainframe Databases, ORACLE Financials/ORACLE E-Business Suite, negative media alerting systems etc.
- Experience with working with large data
- Comfortable with managing client queries interacting with stakeholders across multiple functions and locations, both internal and external
- Comfortable with working within and reporting in a KPI driven environment
- Comfortable with processing in a controls environment and evidence of controls process improvement.
- Comfortable to use good judgement and escalate where appropriate
- Comfortable with or experience of working in a corporate/large firm environment
