Service Marketing Strategist

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) has an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional to join our Service Marketing team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity that reports to the Manager of Service Marketing. What You'll be Doing:

  • Direct the strategy, briefing, approval, deployment, and sustainment of brand-aligned service marketing promotions/campaigns that promote education, awareness, and consideration of Toyota Genuine Parts & Service
  • Collaborate with tier 1 and tier 2 agency partners, dealer committees, zone representatives, Brand, Nameplate, Digital, and Retail to ensure aligned and complimentary approaches to marketing across all tiers
  • Spearhead strategic planning activities and briefings to maintain and improve brand-aligned, innovative, omnichannel approaches to parts and service promotion.
  • Hold partners accountable to timelines and allocated budget while heading annual evaluation and feedback activities
  • Partner with other departments/stakeholders/distributors to create relevant, compliant, and impactful communications that promote continued growth in parts sales and service retention
  • Drive reporting, measurement, and PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) for all promotional activities
  • Examine key product sales trends to identify and recommend promotional opportunities. Adjust plans as required and deliver performance updates with insights and recommendations for kaizen quarterly
  • Proactively work with Zone offices and Toyota Dealer Associations to provision brand-aligned advertising across tiers that maximize parts and service marketing effectiveness, driving service appointment conversions and genuine parts sales
  • Identify partnering opportunities that promote spending efficiencies around brand-aligned tactical marketing and encourage the coordinated implementation of brand-aligned tactical marketing programs
  • Assist with the Service Retention promotional budget including monthly reconciliation, quarterly re-forecasting, and annual planning activities with administrative support from a second marketing team member
  • Drive annual calculation and provision of tier 2 regional service marketing budgets and oversee related purchase orders and invoicing activities.
  • Work with tier 2/TDA partners to drive tier 2 agency accountability to benefit-cost ratios and agreed-upon timelines to promote effective and complete use of allocated regional budgets
  • Main point of contact for key business enhancements that impact parts and service advertising/communications
  • Drive management, sustainment, and PDCA activities for key broad impact/multifaceted programs (Toyota Parts &Service Dealer Marketing Program, Lifecycle Communications Management (LCM), etc.)
  • Direct the planning, organization, preparation, and delivery of materials (reporting, performance metrics, insights, presentations, etc.) for various TCI, TDA, Subcommittee, Zone, and Dealer meetings/conferences

What You'll Bring:

  • University degree or College diploma in marketing or related discipline
  • 5+ years of marketing experience
  • Previous experience in Automotive Marketing and dealership Parts & Service operations preferred
  • Short and long-term project planning experience with vision setting and plans to achieve
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to build successful partnerships
  • Experience in directing, influencing, and negotiating with agency and vendor partners
  • Highly knowledgeable of Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Power BI, etc.)
  • Strong data evaluation and presentation skill; Ability to make insightful recommendations based on the data gathered and analyzed
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; Able to work with multiple partners and on multiple projects regularly
  • Proven ability to initiate and improve work processes to increase efficiency
  • Ability to start and complete tasks with limited guidance
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Use discretion in handling confidential information
  • Digital marketing experience is an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
