Operation Manager

Our client, an NGO that works tirelessly across developing nations to strengthen education systems, ensuring access, equity, and excellence in learning for all, is looking to hire an Operation Manager to join their team. The Operations Manager will lead the Human Resources and fleet unit to manage, execute, monitor, optimize the organization's operational systems and develop and coordinate the implementation of guidelines and policies.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Human Resources: Provide strategic support and operational guidance to the overall HR function.
• Fleet Management: Support the implementation and management of fleet and fuel management systems.
• Change Management: Support the implementation of changes related to this function (HR and Fleet), in alignment with the country office's change management initiatives.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Country Programme Manager and the Operations Manager leading the Finance and Procurement unit, the management team and other departments to foster a good partnership among all parties involved in the execution of operational activities.
• Risk and Compliance: Ensure that the organization in Zambia complies with global standards, local laws, and donor requirements.
• Leadership: Provide leadership, management, and performance monitoring for the HR and fleet functions and all direct reports within this function.
