Your Mission

As a Business Developer, you play an important role in our mission. You make sure that local entrepreneurs – from bakeries to neighborhood stores – join Too Good To Go. This way you help them to offer unsold food via our app to consumers.

What does your day look like as a Sales Specialist?

No two days are the same, and that's what makes it so exciting! You start your day with a coffee or tea, in our bustling office in Brussels or comfortably from home. At least twice a week you work in the office, with a team meeting on Monday where we discuss together the planning and successes of the previous week. The other days you go out – by bike, train or Cambio – and go "on the road" in East Flanders. You visit promising leads, warm them up and convince them to join our app and our mission against food waste. Your goal is to speak to 40-60 entrepreneurs daily: from supermarkets to lunchrooms, and make them enthusiastic about Too Good To Go.

Once an entrepreneur is on board, you guide them in their first 28 days. You make sure they are well integrated, their first Surprise Packages are ready, and they get the most out of our platform. You are their first point of contact and make a difference in their first experience with Too Good To Go.

In between, you work on keeping track of your pipeline, analyze your progress and discuss with colleagues what could be better. And of course, you leave room for a lovely lunch and coffee moments in the office. You close your day with a good feeling: impact made again!

Who are we looking for?

  • You speak fluently in Dutch, and have a professional level of English (other languages are a plus!).
  • You are a true bridge builder and easily and quickly connect with potential partners (such as neighborhood stores, bakeries, butchers);
  • You are not afraid of 'cold calling' – you call with confidence and know how to start a conversation, especially with people you have never spoken to before. And you get energy from it!
  • You are an excellent listener and know how to ask the right questions;
  • You are resilient and proactively engaged in finding, calling new leads and show perseverance when things get tough;
  • You are organized, independent and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • You think solution-oriented and get energy from helping local entrepreneurs get started on Too Good To Go.
  • You have a valid B driving license.
  • Bonus points if you already have experience with cold acquisition or telephone customer contact.

This is a starter position. You don't need years of experience. What we do look for? Curious people who want to learn, grow and want to commit to a mission-driven organization for the long term.

What Can You Expect from Our Recruitment Procedure:

  • Phase one: If there is a match between what we are looking for and you, you will be invited for a video interview (20-30 min) with one of our Talent Acquisition Specialists.
  • Phase three: This is an F2F interview at our office in Brussels for one hour with our Sales team lead and People & Culture Coordinator. Here we want to get to know you better, do a role play and a feedback session and have the opportunity to ask questions.
  • Phase four: This is the last step, in a virtual meeting for 30 minutes you will meet our Head of Sales.
