Thornton Tomasetti, Inc. seeks Project Engineer, Structure in New York, NY to assist in the direction, coordination, planning, organization, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing experience with reinforced concrete analysis software for design of cast in place concrete footings, beams and walls, including using tools to design element size, depth, and reinforcing bar sizes and quantities; participating in construction administration including experience reviewing shop drawings; and utilizing documentation software for drawing production, including development of plans and details for construction. Two (2) years of experience must include: designing steel-framed structures including conventional floor framing, composite slabs on metal deck; utilizing analysis software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations in accordance with the American Institute of Steel Construction and American Concrete Institute; utilizing experience with structural obligations for local building codes, including New York State Building Code 2020 and New York City Building Code 2014. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Offered salary is between $142,750 and $142,750 per year. 40 hours per week. Compensation

The rate for this position generally is $143,650 - $143,650 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
