Service Advisor- EM
The Service Advisor is responsible for supporting the local branch Service Department. The Service Advisor's primary job is to consult with our customers about their service needs and sell them service solutions. Service Advisors sell and coordinate services for customers including the following:
meeting customers, listening to their concerns about their equipment/implements, suggesting appropriate repair and maintenance services, selling new accessories or replacement parts, recording service orders, following up with customers as the services are performed and explaining the repair and maintenance work to customers following its completion.
Essential Responsibilities & Expectations include:
- Manage incoming phone calls to the branch for shop or field repairs ยท Open and properly segment work orders, applying correct codes and tax information.
- Communicate quotations and estimates to customers.
- Sell Parts and Service solutions to customers.
- Communicate additional items found during inspection or troubleshooting process.
- Update customers on repair status of all assigned jobs daily.
- Follow up with parts personnel on back ordered parts.
- Effectively communicate with Service Department Personnel to address customer needs
- Review completed work orders for accuracy to allow for timely invoices.
- Adjust technician labor, parts, or miscellaneous transactions on segments when necessary.
- Collect COD payments from customers as required.
Qualifications include:
Education: High school diploma or the equivalent required.
- Experience using personal computers (including Microsoft Word and Excel) and basic typing skills required for this position.
- Must possess or demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire the following required Skills and Competencies.
- Communication and organizational skills are critical to being successful in this position.

Safety Summary:
Working Conditions: Work is typically performed in a Service Department, shop office or shop environment. Exposure to physical risk and all-weather conditions is rare with this position. Sitting for extended periods of time and utilizing a computer is often required of this position.
