Marketing Manager

We're seeking an experienced, creative, and energized Marketing Manager to join our team full-time at The Skinny Pancake.

In close collaboration with our marketing team, this role will help shape and share the unique voice of The Skinny Pancake—developing and executing content across social media, email, and print to grow our online presence and support marketing and sales goals. From campaign strategy to day-to-day storytelling, this person will play a key role in bringing our brand to life.

The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller and digital creative who understands our brand to its core. They're a strong communicator, largely self-directed (with plenty of support!), and thrive in the pursuit of thoughtful, high-impact creative work. They know when to move fast and when to go deep—and find genuine joy in crafting content that sings.

This is a full-time position based in Burlington, VT, with opportunities to collaborate across our locations and help shape the future of a mission-driven brand.

Marketing Manager Qualifications and Key Skills

  • 2+ years of experience managing content, social platforms, and communities within an in-house marketing team or agency environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with content creation: photography, videography, design, copywriting.
  • Proficiency with social platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter.
  • This is a full-time role based in Burlington, VT, with a minimum of three in-person collaborative work days at our Burlington Headquarters (or other restaurant locations as needed).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple creative projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with project and content management tools: Wrike, Later, Asana.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Restaurant, food & beverage industry experience is highly preferred.

Marketing Manager Key Responsibilities:

Social Media:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to plan and execute a multi-channel content calendar (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Email, Website, X/Twitter).
  • Create engaging, brand-aligned content through photography, videography, design, and copywriting to support both short-term promotions and long-term messaging.
  • Manage daily activity across all social platforms, including scheduling, posting, and community engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather assets and stories—highlighting specials, events, team members, and community initiatives.
  • Monitor performance, generate monthly reports, and recommend optimizations based on current trends and best practices.
  • Build relationships with influencers and industry professionals to expand reach and strengthen brand presence.

Email Marketing:

  • Cultivate monthly email campaigns that highlight a mix of CTAs, The Skinny Pancake Mission, and celebration of community.
  • Create compelling written and visual content to support the monthly email campaigns.

In-house Marketing/Administrative work:

  • Support the creation and distribution of branded materials, merchandise, signage, menus, and in-store marketing across all locations.
  • Assist with monthly retail inventory and reporting.
  • Manage donation requests and fulfillment.
  • Serve as the on-site marketing rep for mobile events and content capture needs.
