About The Role

As a Case Worker, this is your opportunity to work collaboratively with the Team Leader, supporting residents of the Kalgoorlie Emergency Accommodation and Referral Support Service (EARSS), which includes a 6 bedroom adult male accommodation, family accommodation and working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the community. Reporting to the Homelessness Team Leader, this is a permanent, part-time position offering 20 hours per week, located in Kalgoorlie, WA.

How You Will Make An Impact

  1. Work with individuals and families experiencing persistent homelessness within the region.
  2. Establish effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation.
  3. Provide case management support to clients in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice.
  4. Ensure ongoing assessments of the client's issues, needs and circumstances from initial intake to exit.
  5. Ensure ongoing client risk assessment and pro-active flagging of concerns to Team Leader.
  6. Implement and monitor case plans with active client participation ensuring they meet client objectives.

What You Will Bring

  • A minimum Diploma Level in Community Services or Mental Health and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in homelessness or related field is desirable.
  • A National Criminal History Check is required.
  • A Working with Children Check is required.
  • Current WA Drivers licence.
  • Current First Aid Certificate, with CPR.
