Relief Support Worker

About the Role

As a Relief Support Worker, this is your opportunity to provide assistance to adults who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, rendering various support which provides stable, secure, safe and transitional accommodation. Reporting to the Front of House Team Leader, this is a casual position based in Northbridge, WA.

  • The Support Worker role requires rotational shift work in a 24/7 residential service. Shift times - 7am -3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 11pm - 7am.
  • Shift availability is dependant on permanent staff coverage requirements. Same day requests to cover a shift may apply.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 3.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Support the implementation of the Homelessness Stream Model of Care that underpins services across the country.
  • Provide support consistent with Homelessness and The Salvation Army standards and protocols.
  • Provide accommodation information, emergency relief, mediation, referral and advocacy to all those requiring assistance.
  • Record and input all data as per contract and policy requirements.
  • Maintain a smooth service delivery model

What You Will Bring

  • Certificate IV in Community Services
  • Previous experience in Homelessness or Human Services sector.
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • A national police check.
  • Driver's License
