The Salvation Army (Salvos) is one of the largest providers of homelessness services across the country. Our philosophy is that every person should be afforded dignity and respect and that no one should be without a safe, affordable, and secure home. We provide services and supports to adults, and families with accompanying children in the form of accommodation, case management, assertive outreach, financial assistance, community connection and referral services.
As a Community Support Worker, this is your opportunity to provide accommodation support and assertive engagement to men experiencing homelessness with complex and multifaceted needs, while fostering a Client Centred, Strengths Based and Trauma Informed service culture aligned with The Salvation Army's Model of Care 2023–2026.
Reporting to the Community of Support Team Leader, this is a permanent part-time role offering 30.4 hours, located in West Melbourne, VIC. The successful candidate will be required to work out-of-hours shifts, including Thursday and Friday (3:30pm – 11:15pm) and Weekend shifts every week (alternating 8:00am – 4:00pm & 3:30pm – 11:15pm).
