Job Responsibilities
- Support multiple customer labs and attend meetings to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate stock room, POU management, dispensing of products, and more.
- Order Management: Handle order entry, order expediting, and provide customer service support.
- Chemical Management: Receive, register, and track chemical containers.
- Incubator and lab wipe down to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Media and Buffer Prep: Prepare inventory solutions and fulfill customer requests.
- Drive Process Improvement culture to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
- Military Service/Training in lieu of a degree may also be considered.
Experience
- 4 years of related experience within a laboratory setting preferred.
- Experience working in customer service is a plus.
- Knowledge of GxP Experience and IATA/DOT certification, and OSHA General Industry requirements are advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a desire to deliver excellent customer service.
- Professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions, upholding Thermo Fisher Scientific's values.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Organizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates as needed.
- Ability to understand the complexity of various work environments and work safely following all policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Work areas may include spaces where chemical-based allergens are in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.).
- Personal protective equipment must be worn, including lab coats, coveralls, hoods, facemasks, hairnets, safety gloves, steel-toe shoes, bump hats, and/or safety glasses.
- Regularly required to lift 30 - 40lbs, and up to 50lbs occasionally.
- Regularly use equipment including pushcarts, pallet jacks, mobile cylinders, forklifts, etc., to push/pull up to 100lbs.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and conduct manual material handling for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work in environments with varied temperatures (cold rooms, outside, etc.).
- Ability to work overtime or independently as needed.

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $25.60–$38.39.
