Maintenance Technician / Field Service Technician

At the Langenselbold site, we produce on an area of nearly 15,000 m² microbiological safety workstations, CO2 incubators, microbiological incubators, heat and dry cabinets, vacuum drying cabinets, and high-temperature ovens. The Europe-wide sales and order processing departments cover additional product areas, such as laboratory consumables and water purification systems.
Furthermore, Langenselbold is the seat of the EMEA LabAutomation Business, which produces, among other things, movers, automated incubators & storage devices, control software, and automated systems for various applications such as synthetic biology, analytical workflows, and high throughput applications. Langenselbold is also the global headquarters of the Cytomat product line (automated incubators).
In the areas of production, development, product management, purchasing, sales, service, project management, and administration, the site currently employs around 700 staff.
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician / Field Service Technician for the Munich Region.
Your tasks:
- Ensuring the technically flawless and economical execution of maintenance work
- Coordinating appointments with customers for all upcoming dates and independently planning the weekly work schedule
- Planning and completing the assigned annual maintenance of your own customer base
- Performing standard repairs such as filter changes on workstations, seals, and consumables
- Independently managing the vehicle spare parts warehouse, timely ordering and returning of spare parts
- Carrying out device qualifications in accordance with quality requirements and working in a regulated environment
- Adhering to all technical and customer-specific requirements for the execution of maintenance work
- Conducting final discussions with customers after completion of work, advising on necessary repairs or new purchases. Supporting the customer with the introduction of new devices into the maintenance contract or forwarding customer requests for new maintenance contracts to the appropriate departments
- Creating plant and system documentation and the associated documents (e.g., checklists, statistics, error logs) according to specifications, adhering to trained standards, regulations, and quality guidelines or ensuring their compliance
- Identifying replacement and new purchases for customers and forwarding information to the sales department
Your profile:
- Completed vocational training in an electrical engineering profession such as electrical engineering, energy systems electronics, medical technology with additional qualification as a technician or alternatively many years of professional experience or comparable qualification
- Practical experience in technical service is desirable
- Communication skills as a basis for customer retention, confident demeanor, independent working style, self-organization with an eye for the essentials, initiative, and reliability
- High willingness to travel, mainly within the service region, but also within Germany, driving license class B
- IT skills (including software installations) and network knowledge are advantageous, solid MS Office skills are desirable
- You possess the qualification and training to perform electrical testing in accordance with current valid standards
- Good English skills
