The main responsibility of the maintenance engineer will be to support and maintain the range of ThermoFisher Scientifics electron microscopes. The engineer is responsible for the installation on site, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment and systems.

Missions:

Work autonomously within a service team for Transmition Electronic Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope, and Focus Ion Beam products, dedicated to the Life Sciences and Material Sciences market of the MSD division.
Perform the installation of complex equipment and follow test procedures to ensure proper functioning.
Ensure annual preventive maintenance of equipment as well as curative maintenance on demand.
Intervene in clientèle on a daily basis with travel expected to be 50-70% nationally / occasionally in Europe.
Document service activities on the field accurately through the writing of intervention reports and technical reports.
Communicate effectively internally (the hotline, field application engineers, product managers, service managers, commercial engineers…)
Participate actively in continuous improvement projects to improve the quality and efficiency of the service through the monitoring of KPI's.

Profile:

Experienced technician or beginner engineer in electronics, physical measurements.
Knowledge and/or experience in electron microscopy is a prerequisite.
Ability to diagnose and solve problems on complex electronic and mechanical instruments in a demanding environment.
Ability to work autonomously / in a remote team.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Availability for daily travel within the sector + occasionally in France and Europe.
Good level of English required.
