The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of complex equipment and systems at customer sites. They ensure operational quality, instruct customers on system use and maintenance, and serve as the liaison between the company and customers for both technical and administrative matters. The role involves on-site installations of Thermo Fisher systems and related options.
This position is ideal for an experienced service engineer wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.
This position typically requires a university degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in electronic system problem solving. Typically requires approximately 3 - 5 years of hands-on technical experience installing, solving problems, repairing, and calibrating complex analysis tools such as Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Focused Ion Beam (FIB) or similar systems. Experience in solving and repairing ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems is highly desired.
