Depot Repair Engineer

Seeking a motivated Depot Repair Engineer with expertise in cold storage and general lab equipment for our Hong Kong Laboratory Equipment Division.
As a Depot Repair Engineer with Thermo Fisher Scientific, you are important in upholding the repair center's performance and improving customer service.
A day in the Life:
- Represent our company in a positive, professional manner in all dealings with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
- Perform troubleshooting, including component and system failure analysis, using standard diagnostic techniques.
- Clean, inspect, and document the details of the pre-repair condition of chillers, cold storage, and the equipment that requires repair.
- Replace non-conforming and preventive maintenance parts as required.
- Perform full checkout, testing, and calibration of repaired instrumentation, providing appropriate test data, documentation, and report after repair.
- Responsible for optimizing and ensuring the accuracy of the provided tools and consignment parts.
- Involved in continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System.
- Support ad-hoc projects, field service, and training. Work overtime or on weekends when required.

Education:
- Diploma or above in electrical or mechanical engineering.
Experience:
- 3 years or above of relevant work experience.
- Less experienced candidates or fresh graduates with positive attitudes will be considered as Assistant Engineer/Technician.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Experience with refrigeration systems, including brazing copper pipes.
- Must have a strong electrical or mechanical background for troubleshooting/repair, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting work instructions, test procedures, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English.
