Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
• Assist in planning menus that meet the nutritional needs of preschool-aged children.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Support classroom activities and assist teachers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering kitchen supplies.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably in a childcare setting.
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs for young children.
• Food Handler's certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to assist with various school support tasks as needed.
• Passion for working with children and promoting healthy habits.
• Background check clearance required.
