Full-Time Field Operations Lead (Landscape)

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Field Operations Lead to join our property services team based in Lancaster, PA. As a Field Operations Lead you will oversee daily landscape maintenance and installation operations. This role is responsible for managing crews on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities of our Field Operations Lead:
- Leads and directs team members with responsibility for work quality and efficiency, performance evaluations, makes recommendations for staffing levels, pay adjustments and schedules vacation. Capable of leading the whole department of co-workers and properly training them on the basic skills of grounds maintenance.
- Leads and directs training and education programs to better develop maintenance skills of his or her team
- Ensures that corporate safety policies and programs are communicated and adhered to by all co-workers within the team, including PPE requirements. Demonstrates the ability to work safely with others
- Performs onsite inspections of properties to determine when subcontractors or company work force must be utilized
- Supervise and support landscape crews on multiple job sites
- Coordinate daily work schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use
- Communicate with clients and internal teams to address concerns and provide updates
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are available and in working order
- Monitor labor hours and productivity; report progress to management
- Enforce company policies and safety standards on all job sites
- Conducts yearly evaluations for coworkers under the maintenance side of Department 201
- Must be able to navigate on the computer using Microsoft excel, PowerPoint and/or various programs used for Department 201
- Performs hand mowing, trimming, sweeper, hand snow removal/blower operation, tree planting/trimming, shrub planting/trimming, gardening tasks chain saw operation, salt/cinder truck operation, chipper operation, grass seeding, skid loader operation, lawn fertilization, truck plowing, rider mowing, sweeper
- Lifts up to 50 lbs. of tools, equipment and supplies to perform tasks
- Possesses working knowledge of all hand equipment and understands the required maintenance, safety, PPE and care for each tool
- Demonstrates working knowledge of and completes all seasonal responsibilities and tasks
- Completes required paperwork on a daily basis
- Demonstrates the ability to take initiative and learn about procedures and technical aspects of the position or tasks. Able to use discretion in making decisions
- Maintains clean and orderly work
- Attends required training/educational courses as specified by supervisor and company
- Performs special assignments as directed
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- At least five (5) or more years of experience in landscape construction or enhancement
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and landscape equipment
- Must be able to diagnose problems with trees, shrubs, turf and identify insects
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and site plans
- Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred)
- Obtain Spray Licenses 6,7,10, and 14 within 12 months of employment
