Engineering Supervisor

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Engineering Department, ensuring all facilities, equipment, and systems at Silver Sands Beach are maintained in excellent working condition. The role involves leading a team of technicians, planning and executing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards to provide a safe, efficient, and enjoyable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of engineering technicians across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.
• Ensuring timely completion of preventive maintenance schedules for all facilities and equipment.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, minimizing downtime and disruptions to guest services.
• Conducting regular inspections of resort facilities, identifying maintenance needs, and recommending corrective actions.
• Assigning daily tasks, monitoring performance, and providing technical guidance to the engineering team.
• Ensuring proper documentation of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of spare parts/tools.
• Supporting energy-saving initiatives and ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Enforcing safety standards and ensuring team compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assisting in planning and executing small projects, renovations, and equipment upgrades.
• Reporting maintenance status, issues, and recommendations to the Chief Engineer/Engineering Manager.

Desired qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Solid experience in the 5-star hotel industry.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Computer literacy (MS Office, maintenance management systems).
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
