The Technician II - Audio Engineer is responsible for the setup, operation, and dismantle of audio/visual equipment to ensure the successful execution of work orders and delivery of high-quality event technology services. This role entails providing exceptional customer service, training and mentoring other technicians, coordinating with supervisors on production plans, and troubleshooting technical issues proactively. Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service, training and developing other technicians, coordinating with supervisors to clarify production plans for meetings and events, reviewing work orders and gathering necessary resources for events, proactively identifying and addressing challenges, setting up, operating, and dismantling audio/visual equipment, maximizing operational efficiencies through interdepartmental collaboration, mentoring team members to maintain standards, continuous improvement of skills and knowledge, organizing and maintaining storerooms, tracking equipment issues and coordinating repairs, performing repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment, responding to client requests promptly, identifying opportunities for increased productivity and efficiency, staying updated on industry trends and advancements, and providing insights to management on future investments and projects. Qualifications include 2+ years of experience in audio, lighting, video, data/telecom, and rigging for live events, advanced understanding of audio/visual production, previous hospitality experience preferred, ability to work flexible hours, strong teamwork and communication skills, problem-solving abilities in a dynamic environment, adherence to safety protocols and procedures, willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, and certification or training in audio/visual systems is a plus.
