Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

The Hardware Engineering and Industrialization Department in Huizen (soon to be Amsterdam) consists of 30 employees focused on the development and qualification of high-quality new products and the maintenance of existing products. The team operates in a multidisciplinary setting, incorporating both mechanical and electronic expertise. As a team, we are responsible for efficient production preparation, which is crucial for our success.

Within the QC team, due to growth in operations, the following vacancy has emerged:

Quality Engineer

A crucial role within the department is that of the QC (Quality Control) engineer. This professional specifically focuses on First Article Inspection (FAI) and the product adoption of our production processes. The Quality Engineer actively participates in improvement programs based on the Lean Six Sigma methodology, continuously striving for streamlining and optimization of our processes.

By emphasizing factory adoption, we ensure that only products of the highest quality leave our production. With a keen eye, the QC engineer verifies that the produced items meet the stringent requirements and quality standards.

The main tasks are:

  • Validate the quality of the final product.
  • Check the quality of incoming goods.
  • Prepare a Non-Conformity Report (NCR) if necessary.
  • Introduce quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform FAI (First Article Inspections) on new production batches.

Why You Are a Good Match

  • You hold at least a MBO or HBO diploma in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
  • You have at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role in quality control within a production environment.
  • You are analytical, precise, and problem-solving.
  • You have practical experience as a QC engineer and understand FAI and Lean Six Sigma.
  • You possess good communication skills and are proactive in identifying improvement points.
  • You are willing to expand your knowledge through training provided by Thales Nederland B.V.
  • You are proficient in Dutch and English to communicate with the production.

Note: The department will relocate to Amsterdam South-East in August.
