Process Engineer
Under coaching of an experienced process engineer, you will be (co)responsible for the introduction of new and the optimization of existing PCB processes within the production facility. This can be short-term actions with a lead time of several days to projects of several months.
You will perform the following tasks in a team:
- Develop technology/processes for innovation and new product development.
- Select and purchase new production equipment and introduce and release the associated process.
- Optimize and improve existing production processes in a structured manner to increase yield and expand the process window. LEAN principles are used as a guideline.
As a Process Engineer, a workweek consists of supporting production in solving process problems where you are on the shop floor and process improvements or projects that you carry out in a team. You work together in a team of four Process Engineers where two focus on chemical processes and two on physical, mechanical, and inspection processes. Weekly, there is coordination with the other colleagues to determine the priorities and help each other in solving problems. For support on the shop floor, you work closely with the technical assistants who are the first point of contact for the operators.
Process improvements and the acquisition of new production equipment are often initiated by innovative new products and for this you work together with the product engineers to determine how to approach the challenge. Of course, there is also time to celebrate a success when a solution is found for a stubborn problem or a long-term project is successfully completed.
