Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Develop manufacturing, repair, service, testing and integration plans and procedures and assist with defining and maintaining applicable standards.
- Support the APRU operational teams in implementing first-level maintenance (TPM), alongside the maintenance teams.
- Define the testing and burn-in strategy for equipment and subassemblies, as well as the industrial needs in terms of testability.
- Ensure that production/support processes and tools are defined, implemented, prepared and optimised.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
- Define and optimise documentation, tools and processes for production and repair/support based on the information provided by the R&D engineering teams, and provide for the development of technical production and repair data.
- Anticipate the preparation of future developments in compliance, promote technological innovation to reduce costs and cycles, and ensure the feasibility and reproducibility of manufactured components (with the Industrialisation Process Engineers).
- Develop test and control plans and procedures for production equipment and associated resources (programmes, benches, interfaces).
- Work with the Industrialisation Process Engineers to develop objective costs as early as possible in the process and ensure those costs are maintained.
- With the Product Support Managers, capitalise on production lines and manage feedback, and play a key role in improving productivity and continuous improvement.
- Work with the Industrialisation Process Engineers to incorporate supplier issues as part of the subcontracting of certain activities.
- Propose a strategy for handling obsolescence and initiate the corresponding actions with the relevant functional areas.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of production and repair processes
- Extensive knowledge of products and their manufacturing or repair processes
- Knowledge of industrial management control
- Basic knowledge of stock management and flow management methodologies
- Implementation of continuous improvement and management tools (Lean: flow management, conducting Gemba Walks, Compass Room, Plan Do Check Act (PDCA), TPM, etc)
- Practice of analytical and problem-solving techniques
- Knowledge of production tools, industrial IT & use of dashboards (analysis, decision support)
- Share the vision and generate long-term commitment
- Know how to listen and mobilise resources in a context of mutual respect
- Share information out of a desire for transparency
- Act with agility, adjust behaviour in real time and foster a culture of continuous improvement
