Can you unravel complex technical issues and translate them into workable solutions?

As a Radar System Engineer at Thales, you develop advanced detection sensors used worldwide for defense purposes. Your technical expertise makes a direct difference in a world where reliable security systems are crucial.

Within our System Engineering team, you translate complex challenges into working solutions that perform under extreme conditions.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with radar architects and various engineering specialists in multidisciplinary teams
  • Bridge the technical and functional gap between system architecture, hardware, software, and test engineering
  • Design, analyze, and validate innovative radar capabilities, from concept to implementation
  • Optimize radar performance by balancing functionality, quality, and cost
  • Solve technical challenges using both abstract system knowledge and detailed insight

A typical workweek includes:

  • Team meetings
  • Technical analyses
  • Design sessions
  • Close collaboration with domain specialists

You will work on concrete products such as the APAR, STIR, GM200 MM/C, or the NS50.

About You

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Applied Mathematics
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the field
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Dutch
  • Preferred experience with Matlab/Simulink and C++
  • Must pass a Dutch Security check to receive clearance, as Thales is a Defense Company
