Pmo Specialist
The PMO Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the actions of the Project Management Office covering his/her different specialty(ies) and domain(s) of Bid/Project Management. In the scope of his/her specialty, the PMO Specialist is responsible to:
- Develop, deploy and improve standards (governance, processes, methods and tools) for bids and projects management within the organization.
- Contribute to and support his/her specialties(s)
- Support and challenge teams with a coaching posture in his/her area of expertise
- Organize dedicated meeting with the Core team
- Produce and analyze KPI
- Participate as needed to progress meetings, bid and project reviews
- Capitalize on best practices and proposing recommendation and improvement
- Transversally disseminate and share best practices and recommendations at the state of the art
Possible specialities are: structuring, scheduling, estimating, risks and opportunities management, executing and reporting. Some additional activities can be associated to each speciality.
For planning speciality:
- Identifying the deliverables, contents and follow them through the project with rescheduling as necessary.
- Implementing the assessment of the performance of the monitoring of the bid/project.
According to the speciality, a PMO specialist can be named: planner, estimating manager, cost office, data manager, risk manager…
