Thales is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Indonesia Operations Manager (IOM). In this role your primary responsibility will be the management, support and maturity improvement of our Key Industrial Partners (KIPs) with a specific focus on developing the services aspect. You will also be responsible for Operations in Indonesia in general, including but not limited to the management of local shared services and the supervision of local Bids and Projects.
You will be working with the support of our SEA Operations Head Office in Singapore, reporting both to the Indonesia Country Director and the Asia Regional Operations Director.
Job Duties
- Monitor and support our Key Industrial Partners (KIPs) in the implementation of the contractual scope they are responsible for. From pre bid stage up to contract execution and the follow-on services associated.
- Define, propose and monitor improvement plans related to the maturity of our KIPs in partnership with the relevant BL.
- Support the implementation of the Offset contracts with the relevant KIP offset recipients and the relevant BLs. This involves day to day monitoring of the KIP activities, as well as regular interactions with KKIP / Pothan within Indonesia MOD.
- Ensure local Project execution on time, budget and with quality.
- Work closely with Business Lines and other Thales entities to support the preparation of local bids.
- Services: Propose a comprehensive action plan to ensure Thales installed base in Indonesia is supported / maintained, trainings are provided, obsolescence issues are addressed etc. This could entail establishing local competencies within Thales Indonesia or with our KIPs to perform some activities locally.
- Management of local shared services (HSE, QCS, Real Estate and IS/IT) leveraging regional function lead support.
- Lead Transformation Plans, in line with Group initiatives, for the shared services (Competitiveness and sustainability) and overall operations.
- Develop skills of the local Operations Team for shared services and Bids/Projects in order to support current and future business.
- Perform other Operations related duties as assigned or requested.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in the field of operations and /or offset management
- Relevant experience in Industrial and/or Engineering Management
- Relevant experience with international Defense customer
- Experience in Customer Services entities supported by external partners
- Strong communications skills to coordinate with the different Thales entities, as well as partners relationship management skill for interactions with KIP, KKIP, Pothan etc
- Ability to communicate to Senior stakeholders both internally and externally,
- Team player, and ability to work independently
- Position is based in Jakarta and involves frequent domestic travels (Bandung, Surabaya etc.) as well as occasional international travels (Singapore, Europe etc.)
