With growing numbers of mines in the world's oceans, UK and France set themselves a clear mine countermeasures (MCM) challenge: to drive a step change in their navies' mine warfare performance and significantly improve the safety of personnel. The ambition was immense: the development of an integrated, high-tech, 'system of systems' that could be deployed quickly across the world; to make rapid programme progress, in an area with no established doctrine; and to have cast-iron certainty on reliability, autonomy, and cybersecurity.
Thales are now looking to hire a Maritime Autonomous Systems Trials Engineer (IVVQ) on a major project working within the Maritime Autonomous & Remote Systems Team (MMCM) we require a keen and motivated Engineer skilled in Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ).
The MMCM Project is a complex system-of-systems incorporating Platform, Sensors, Command and Control, payload deployment, autonomy and communications.
An IVVQ engineer is needed to deliver the subsystem IVVQ strategies and associated acceptance & tests to ensure successful delivery to client.
