Our Opportunity
As an Electronics Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of electronics engineers to complete design tasks across any stage of the product or programme life cycle, and to do this within cost, schedule, performance & quality requirements. You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary internal team, including systems, software and mechanical engineers to ensure the design and delivery of the electronics meets the needs of the business. This is a technical role which includes providing technical oversight and direction as well as carrying out design work.
As a professional engineer, you'll be responsible for the design and development of products that comply with regulatory safety and environmental standards including EMC standards, RoHS, Reach, WEEE and relevant Safety Directives.

Flexibility
The position will be based at the Thales site in Glasgow. While a significant proportion of the role may be carried out from home, attendance on site will be necessary for test, integration and other lab-based work.

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years' residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional requirements.
