In our Tubize site, you will join 250+ colleagues recognised by domestic and international partners for their expertise on Radio Frequency (RF) Products, C4ISR, Crypto Global Solution, MACS (Aeronautical Intercom) and many others.
Your mission:
- You will be responsible for new-product development tasks, including breadboarding, circuit simulation, electronic test procedure documentation, and lab guidance of product testing
- You will be responsible for the design and development of digital products from concept to production. This includes analysis of customer specifications, sub-system and detailed design. As such you will create digital circuits, ensuring signal integrity and optimal performance
- You will centre your activity on digital electronic systems design, ranging from simple embedded microcontrollers to high-end FPGA-based systems
- You will define the PCB schematics and guide layout engineers, validate prototypes, perform design integration and qualification, and follow up the design into production
- You will contribute to product qualification according to high-level international standards. You will also ensure the electronic designs meet industry standards and regulatory compliance.
What we are looking for:
- You hold a Master's Degree in engineering with a specialty in electronics, telecommunications or equivalent
- You have at least 5 years of experience in digital circuit design
- You are comfortable with analysing customer needs and determining the requirements, capacity, and cost for developing products
- You are interested in designing, developing, analysing, and testing new and existing electrical and electronic products to specifications provided by the customer and marketing
- You are passionate about technology and willing to learn new technologies
- You design digital hardware that can be used with either analogue, digital, or mixed-signal technology.
- Knowledge of boundary scan testing
- Knowledge of reliability and design robustness analysis (MTBF and MTTF calculations, worst-case, part stress, Failure Mode analysis)
- Knowledge of signal integrity
- Problem-solving, debugging and failure analysis skills with a solid understanding of core engineering principles
- Hands-on laboratory work including using oscilloscope, network analysers, spectrum analysers and other test equipment
- Communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in oral and written forms across different management levels
- The ability to work in team and a taste for international contacts
- The flexibility to integrate a project at different stages
- Good command of English and fluency in French and/or Dutch.
