24x7 L1 Soc Noc Engineer

Thales Nederland is looking for passionate new employees to join the 24x7 SOC NOC team in the role of 24x7 L1 SOC NOC Engineer. The 24x7 L1 SOC NOC Engineer is the first operational point of contact for the customer and monitors the operation of the entire system and all possible cyber threats for various clients and contracts in both the physical security world and cyber security.

In this role, the operator will perform the following tasks:

• Monitor the technical availability of the system and cyber threats;
• Perform triage of notifications and incidents and determine if further action should be taken and assess the correctness of the severity and priority;
• Accept and register service incidents and service requests;
• Activate the appropriate resolution groups/service teams depending on the incident or threat;
• Follow up on the progress of solving incidents in a timely manner;
• Perform operational management tasks.

Candidates should have the following knowledge and experience:

• A completed education with the following knowledge and experience: a technical education or demonstrable experience at MBO+/HBO level in ICT and/or security;
• Experience in a NOC or SOC monitoring environment is a plus but not required;
• Experience working in a shift environment with irregular services is also a plus;
• Knowledge and skills related to security systems and/or cyber security are also very welcome.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

• A service-oriented and service-providing attitude;
• Customer-friendly communication skills;
• Punctuality with an eye for detail;
• A proactive attitude, curious, able to recognize and implement improvements;
• Good coordinating skills including the management of service teams;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing.

Plus points:

• ITIL Foundation certified or have recently completed the training;
• ServiceNow knowledge and experience.

Specific requirements for this position are:

• Working in a 24/7 schedule on a rotational basis;
• The work locations are in central Netherlands within the triangle Huizen, Utrecht, Apeldoorn.
