Director, Technical Support CFA Certification and Delivery (Mirabel, QC)

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Manage activities of certification and delivery group to assure timely certification and delivery of aircraft.
- Interface with other departments such as production, contracts administration, marketing, BHTI Quality Assurance to establish certification and delivery schedules.
- Schedule activities of Minister's Delegates to ensure adequate MD availability.
- Manage the obtaining of permits from regulatory authorities such as Markings, experimental flight permits, special flight authorizations, alternate means of compliances (AMOCs) etc.
- Manage OJT training prospective Aircraft Certification Authorities (ACA).
- Manage the process of applying for Certificate of Registrations to ensure timely certification and delivery of aircraft.
- Coordinate the liaison with Transport Canada Airworthiness in all matters relating to aircraft certification.
- Coordinate with FAA to ensure timely receipt of U.S. Standard Certificates of Airworthiness.
- Monitor the review of all documentation to assure conformity to BTCL standard. Collect and compile data on the non-conformances discovered during certification.
- Manage all the aircraft certification activities on behalf of BTCL prior to presentation to Transport Canada.
- Manage the review process of all applicable Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Technical Bulletins and maintain a control system to document compliance.
- Manage aircraft registrations and de-registrations are carried out in a timely manner and the issuance is properly documented to assure accuracy.
- Manage corrective actions relating to aircraft records.
- Manage compliance with Transport Canada requirements as related to aircraft certification.
- Review Sales Orders to ensure aircraft configurations meet contractual obligations.
- Manage all activities related to build plan to ensure aircraft are configured and delivered in accordance with purchase agreement requirements.
Minimum required qualifications:
- DEC in Aircraft Maintenance or Equivalent.
- Two years in a management role having direct or indirect report or experience dealing directly with customer.
- Thorough knowledge of Bell Systems.
- Thorough knowledge of Bell products, planning systems, engineering systems, etc.
- Knowledge of Transport Canada Air Regulations CARs Airworthiness Manuals.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Agency Regulations (FAR's).
- Excellent knowledge in French is required.
- Excellent knowledge in English is required for this position, as it involves communication in English with Bell teams outside of Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside of Quebec.
- Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
