Bell Textron Canada Ltd. The CH146 is Canada's largest helicopter fleet, its most deployed asset, and is used in multiple roles across the country. Our team is integrated into the military Weapon System Management (WSM) office and within Search and rescue, Tactical, Combat Support and Special Forces Operations. As a Technical Support Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting maintenance and engineering activities related to the CH146. You will be responsible for coordinating technical investigations, evaluating design modifications, and managing the impacts on associated systems and processes. You will also act as a technical expert for internal and external stakeholders while contributing to the continuous improvement of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of maintenance and engineering issues reported by BTCL members and/or the Department of National Defence (DND) regarding the CH146.
  • Participate in the review of design modifications for the 412 model (ECR and ECO) to assess their applicability and impact on the CH146.
  • Evaluate and coordinate necessary actions to implement approved design modifications (or design projects) affecting the CH146, including: approved maintenance programs, technical publications, spare parts inventory, manufacturing processes, training requirements.
  • Support the annual review of CH146 system obsolescence and actively participate in the annual CH146 obsolescence working group.
  • Attend periodic aircraft logistics system follow-up meetings with the client, acting as BTCL's technical subject matter expert.
  • Effectively coordinate the sharing of technical information between BTCL departments, the CH146 Weapon System Manager (WSM), as well as suppliers and subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in aircraft maintenance or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in aircraft maintenance, design, manufacturing, or technical publications.
  • Proven experience in a military support service contract environment.
  • Excellent ability to interpret and analyze technical documents such as drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of processes related to aircraft maintenance and engineering.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex technical information to senior executives and clients.
  • Functional proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken.
