Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position performs highly complex (senior-level) construction, restoration, renovation, and maintenance work. This includes the proper operation, maintenance and repair of the water treatment plant and wastewater facilities for Goose Island State Park. Responsible for regulatory compliance in all utility operations to include completion of required forms and reports as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). Conducts water laboratory testing procedures and general maintenance and cleaning of water facilities. Performs all phases of maintenance and repairs to other park facilities, equipment, grounds, and electrical and plumbing systems utilizing equipment such as hand tools, power tools, mowers, tractors, and other heavy machinery. Responsible for preparing reports, revenue collection, accounting, providing and exercising customer service to park visitor. Available for emergency call outs as needed. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and branch rules, regulations and procedures.
