Insight Global is seeking a full-time Swivel Engineer IV for a client in the oil and gas industry in Houston, Texas. The Swivel Engineer IV applies expert-level product knowledge and extensive experience to complex and undefined engineering challenges, regularly serving as a technical leader or key contributor on major projects. This role encompasses the full project lifecycle for swivel systems, including client specification review, design base development, conceptual layouts, sealing system selection, load evaluations, component sizing, stress and fatigue analysis, bolting and material specifications, and quality requirements. The engineer oversees drawing reviews, bill of materials, design documentation, and testing procedures, and may supervise assembly and testing activities. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting, interfacing with clients and classification societies, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, and supporting proposal efforts. The Engineer IV utilizes CAD/CAM tools for design and analysis, prepares technical reports and documentation, mentors junior staff, and may lead multidisciplinary teams.
