This job is a member of the Security Operations Team within the Corporate Affairs Division. Responsible for leading a dynamic team of Security Operations Specialists who staff a 24/7/365 security operations desk at our Integrated Operations Center (IOC).
What You'll Do:
- Assess emerging security and compliance challenges and operational risks, and provide appropriate guidance to protect global assets and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Schedules the staffing of the desk, interfacing with US Government agencies, supporting the on-duty IOC Director, and coordinating efforts within Corporate Security, Airport Services, and other operating departments.
- Operates in a high pressure, fast paced, and mission-critical environment with minimal supervision.
- Maintains a detailed knowledge of AA systems and applications including Sabre Res/DECS, FOS, QIK Check, AAPass, and Gate Reader and understand contingency and resolution measures for issues with those systems.
- Oversees Employee Central and AutoTA (time and attendance) administrative actions, and must be proficient in performing those duties.
- Evaluates employee performance and training to provide guidance and recognition.
- Develops employees for promotion and provide career guidance.
- Interprets regulatory security requirements and provide feedback for efficient implementation.
- Prepares reports and records on department activities.
- Initiates employee hire, promotion, discharge, or transfer as needed.
- Prepares training materials for all new hires as well as supervise on-the-job training.
- Maintains employee records and personnel files.
- Vets all American/Envoy employees against TSA watch list.
- Coordinates with all station Compliance Coordinators to maintain accurate list of contract employees doing security-related work on AA/Envoy's behalf.
- Develops and updates Security Operations policy and procedure manual as government and internal process change.
- Directs team and coordinates administrative or operational requirements.
All You'll Need for Success:
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- 3 years previous operations experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications:
- Ability to demonstrate strong aptitude for problem solving
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to present work concisely
- Skills in organization and planning
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Knowledge of company rules, regulations and conditions which may conflict with standard company procedures
- Knowledge of AA systems including PSS, native Sabre, and FOS
- Knowledge of passenger and crew security programs such as Secure Flight AQQ, APP and ESTA/ETA/CTA
- Knowledge of TSA Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP) regulations
- Ability to travel
- Must fulfill TSA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA)
- Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and statistical analyses
