Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to perform student evaluations and provide therapy services in accordance with individualized plans of care and physician orders. This role includes documentation and collaboration with school staff to support student success.
Position Overview:
Location: Houston, TX
Start Date: January 6, 2026
Duration: 20 weeks
Openings: 4 positions (2 elementary, 2 junior high)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Modality: In-person only
Pay: $60/hour
Caseload: ASHA workload model
Interview: In-person or virtual
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and provide speech-language therapy services
Document therapy sessions and maintain compliance with care plans
Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student communication needs
Participate in IEP meetings and ensure adherence to state and federal guidelines
Minimum Requirements:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Texas
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs accepted
Public school experience or prior experience working with children
Current CPR certification, if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, if applicable
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
