Mid-Level Sdet Developer
We are looking for a mid-level SDET developer to join the Fixed Income Trading team. This individual should have a passion to develop innovative solutions, ability to simplify complex business requirements and design to deliver an end-to-end technology solution is key to success in this role. Fixed Income aka Schwab Bond Source team provides a comprehensive Fixed Income trading platform to Schwab's internal and external clients as well as external dealer and regulatory agency systems. The team's mission is to deliver the best in class trading experience to Schwab's internal and external clients. Our goal is to deliver, high security, high availability and excellent customer service by ensuring the three systems are well maintained and continuously enhanced to meet the needs of our clients. What you are good at:
- Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation frameworks and building test scenarios and acceptance tests
- Understanding our applications from both technical and business perspectives
- Designing and maintaining an automation framework supporting multiple applications across multiple platforms
- Working with the development team to understand the application architecture to access risk and integration points in order to develop good test cases
- Leading your fellow engineers in writing effective tests and constantly challenging yourself to improve overall test coverage
- Creating your own REST services and familiar with parsing JSON and XML
- Having phenomenal organizational skills and confident in delivering test metric visibility to stakeholders
- Working in an Agile environment in the past
- Being a lifelong learner, able to grasp difficult concepts and stay on top of new and emerging technologies
What you have:
- BS Degree in Computer Science or a related field with more than 4 years of experience in Test Automation frameworks using AI Automation
- 1-2 years of Schwab technology domain experience gained as a current or recent contractor or employee
- Solid BDD Gherkin framework expertise to develop automation coverage (unit, functional, regression) – 4 years
- Strong in Object Oriented languages Java, Python REST APIs and Async processing – 4 years
- Strong experience in messaging processing like IBM MQ / Kafka – 4 years
- Experience with Atlassian Tools (Bitbucket, Jira, Zephyr, Bamboo) – 4 years
- Experience with cloud computing technologies (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Google Cloud Platform) – 4 years
- Team player with excellent communication skills (oral and written) to technically communicate with Application Architects, Development, QA peers, and Business partners – 4 years
- Must be a critical thinker, solutions-oriented with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills – 4 years
- Ability to work independently and to effectively interact and collaborate with all types of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers, and management – 4 years
Preferred:
- Experience in ETL and data validation for comprehensive end-to-end testing, including functional, integration, performance, and security testing
- Experience with BDD, TDD and CI/CD practices
- Experience with Cloud Computing technologies (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
- SQL and relational database experience
- Financial industry experience
