This position manages the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Ground Systems ADP Mission Management Software team. The Ground Systems ADP Mission Management software manager will be responsible for the development of mission systems software and will coordinate closely with the ADP Dynamic Targeting & Surveillance Systems Portfolio. The team is composed of highly aggressive agile teams that lead innovation of processes and tools while developing product deliverables to Dynamic Targeting & Surveillance Systems customers. As such, the selected candidate must be highly flexible and up to an aggressive pace. You will be the Associate Manager for the Mission Services Team in DT&SS. Our team is responsible for creating and maintaining services for ground stations that are used to pilot a variety of drones.
As the Associate Manager, you will be responsible for managing, staffing, and driving value to multiple programs that the team supports. Your responsibilities will include:
- Forecasting and maintaining staffing levels across multiple programs.
- Mentoring and growing the team.
- Developing Basis of Estimates.
- Technical work that aligns to the candidate’s skill set.

This position is in Marietta, GA and Fort Worth, TX.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an interim Secret clearance to start.
- Demonstrated Software Engineering Development experience.
- Team lead or formal leadership experience.
- Ability to support moderate travel.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Experience planning and coordinating software development in a team-oriented environment.
Desired Skills:
- Proposal and Basis of Estimate (BOE) writing experience.
- Previous Mentoring/Coaching experience.
- Previous Team Leadership Experience.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices: Agile/Scrum, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI-CD), and/or automated testing.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

- Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
- Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
