Logistics Engineer Senior - Level 3

You will be a Logistics Engineer Senior - Level 3 on the F-35 Aircraft Supply Operations team. In this position you will use strong leadership skills and strong provisioning skills as well as the associated analytical and engineering configuration management skills. You will lead a team and work at a high level providing metrics for team task and training to lower levels. You will manage the Quality Assurance team. You will work independently in a Military based Performance Based Logistics (PBL) / Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) acquisition environment. You will perform provisioning analyses activities including assessment of Parts to various task to support SPIR delivery; Parts Precedence (PP) J0820s; and QEC using various software tools to influence new designs and modifications. In addition, you will coordinate and perform supportability analyses of flight vehicle and associated support equipment design (accessibility, functionality, commonality, interchangeability); Air Vehicle Design; and Training Devices. You will apply systems engineering and integration processes for supportability across elements and coordinate logistics support analysis with elements. You will work using GEIA Standards or MIL-STD-1388-1A/2B or DEF-STAN 00-60, MIL-HDBK-502, and MIL-PRF-49506 in addition to system acquisitions, specifically the DoD 5000 series specifications requirements. You will work with Joint Services Application of Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability Coding (SM&R) and Maintenance Task Codes and their application and relationship to Provisioning analyses. You will work with provisioning development under the construct of the GEIA Standards/MIL-STD-1388-2B / DEF-STAN 00-60 a validated LSAR database. You will work with Contractor Logistics Support and Performance Based Logistics (PBL) programs and maintain provisioning data/documentation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in logistics.
  • Previous experience leading a project team or team informally or formally.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft and non-aircraft sustainment support.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Software including Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Access and Excel will be used daily.

Desired Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • FEDLOG/FLIS knowledge.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Provisioning process knowledge or experience.
  • LMI/LSAR data table population.
  • Experience with GEIA Standards, MIL-STD-1388-1A/2B or DEF-STAN 00-60, MIL-HDBK-502, and MIL-PRF-49506.
  • Aircraft, Support Equipment, Training Device, or Heavy Equipment maintenance experience.
  • Maintenance Task Analysis.
  • Strong Microsoft Access skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Candidate should have an understanding of US and Foreign Military applications of Integrated Logistics Support.
  • Specific understanding of the interrelationships and dependencies of these functional analysis activities is highly desired.
  • Understanding or experience in support requirements definition, testing, evaluation, integration, and implementation of Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) / Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) / internally developed Information Technology Tools and Software supporting Logistics Supportability Analysis activities is also desirable.
  • Advanced to expert MS Office Suite skills with a strong focus on MS Access and Excel capabilities is also desired.
  • The ideal candidate will understand engineering drawings and parts relationships.
  • Must have strong knowledge of aircraft and non-aircraft support.
  • Knowledge of F-35 and F-22 provisioning process is a plus.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
